Scholarships and Grants

Paul Gallo Memorial Scholarship for Non-Traditional Student Interns: This scholarship is offered each summer to one non-traditional student intern working with START in memory of Paul Gallo, a researcher and project manager within the Special Projects Division of START.

Underrepresented Minority Student Scholarship: This scholarship is offered this summer (2017) to five-underrepresented minority student interns who would otherwise be unable to undertake an unpaid internship.

Curriculum Development Grants: Curriculum Development Grants are offered when funding is available to any individual proposing an innovative teaching tool related to terrorism studies. These grants provide support to develop cutting-edge classroom modules incorporating the most recent research and educational tools. Calls for proposals are announced once per calendar year dependent on funding.

Graduate Research Travel Award: This award is offered to current graduate students to assist in funding their research on issues related to terrorism and responses to terrorism.
