Incident Summary:

09/14/2004: A car bomb exploded outside of the police station on Hayfa Street in Baghdad, where a crowd of volunteers and recruits were waiting to join the police force. Forty-seven people were killed and 114 wounded in the attack. The group headed by Abu Musab al-Zarquawi, Tawhid and Jihad, claimed responsibility for the attack.
