02/17/2006: Unidentified gunmen killed 49-year-old Sawian Nuplod, an irrigation dam security guard, in a drive-by shooting as he was heading to work in the Muang district of Yala province, Thailand. The motive and perpetrators of the attack were unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
