Incident Summary:

3/3/2006: Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar rented a Jeep Cherokee and drove it through a crowed of people gathered in "The Pit" on the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill campus in North Carolina, United States. His intention was to hurt or kill people in order to "avenge the deaths of Muslims around the world." He was acting alone. Although he was born in Iran, he was raised in the United States and was a citizen of the United States.
