Incident Summary:

07/04/2011: On Monday evening, in Zinjibar, Abyan, Yemen, suspected Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) gunmen attacked the 25th Mechanized Brigade. Twelve suspected AQAP gunmen were killed, along with seven soldiers. Dozens of gunmen and soldiers were also wounded in the attack. No group claimed responsibility, although AQAP is suspected.
