Incident Summary:

12/15/2011: Suspected members of Boko Haram opened fire on a group of civilians standing outside of a shop in Maiduguri city, Borno state, Nigeria. Five civilians were killed in the shooting; however, there were no reported injuries. The assailants were traveling in a vehicle at the time of the attack and fled the scene following the shooting.
