Incident Summary:

08/04/2013: An explosive device detonated at the Al-Sheikh Salim shrine in Bir el-Abd town, North Sinai governorate, Egypt. There were no casualties reported; however, the shrine was damaged in the blast. This was one of two attacks, coordinated to occur simultaneously, on shrines in this area on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
