12/29/2014: Assailants attacked an unspecified number of police checkposts in Sangin district, Helmand province, Afghanistan. At least five police officers and four assailants were killed and three officers and three assailants were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
