Incident Summary:

12/10/2016: Assailants opened fire on Riazul Islam along Charsadda Road in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Islam, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Deputy Superintendent of Police, was killed and his son was injured in the assault. The Khorasan Chapter of the Islamic State and Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) separately claimed responsibility for the attack.
