JOB OPPORTUNITY: Assistant Director of Administrative Services

The National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) is now hiring an Assistant Director of Administrative Services to manage associated business processes, include research administration, communicate with key stakeholders on campus, human resources and the Department of Procurement at START’s headquarters at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of four years working in an office environment specific to research administration and business operations in an academic environment
  • Knowledge of federal grant compliance and the OMB Circulars A-21, A-110 and A-133
  • Ability to organize and execute multiple assignments under specific time constraints
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work within a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Supervisory experience
  • Familiar with University of Maryland administrative systems, policies and procedures
  • Experience in electronic submission to federal agencies, Coeus and Priority software system

The person selected for this position will work on site at START’s headquarters at the University of Maryland, College Park, and will report to the Director of Administrative Services.
