This article summarizes the findings of START’s study in 2013 on policy considerations for law enforcement. Gary LaFree, director at START and leader of the study explains how an event such as the Boston Marathon attack, highly publicized as it was, increase the public’s willingness to help law enforcement authorities prevent future domestic attacks.
