LaFree Discusses Terrorism Myths and Realities

START Director Gary LaFree recently delivered a talk to a standing room only audience at the University of Nebraska on the impact of Black Swans on terrorism stereotypes. For the talk, part of the School of Criminology’s visiting scholars series, he addressed the myths of terrorism and the realities behind them. For instance, one of the myths is that terrorists groups are long-lasting and difficult to eradicate. In reality, about 70 percent of them last less than one year.
