| Internet Black Tigers is most likely funded by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam | |
| The Internet Black Tigers (IBT) can be characterized as a specialized faction of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), a violent nationalist-separatist group in Sri Lanka dedicated to the creation of an independent ethnic Tamil state.
| The Internet Black Tigers have not been responsible for any terrorist activity since 1997. However, IBT's founding group has been extremely active and dangerous during this period. As such, there is a real possibility that IBT could mount further cyber attacks either under its original moniker, or as the LTTE. | |
