| The "Martyr Abu-Ali Mustafa Brigades" is the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). The group is named after Mustafa al-Zibri (Abu Ali Mustafa), the former leader of the PFLP who was killed in an Israeli air strike in August 2001.

| Despite the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza in August 2005, and waning support when compared to HAMAS, the Abu-Ali Mustafa Brigades under the PFLP is an extremely active terrorist group. As most of the Brigades' attacks were centered in Gaza settlements, before the Israeli disengagement, the Brigades can be expected to carry out more attacks in the West Bank and Israel in the future. | |
