START Seminar with Steve Coll: Video Available

The Windows Media Version of the Steve Coll Seminar is now available

On November 17th, 2008, START hosted Steve Coll, President and CEO of New America Foundation, at the University of Maryland. Mr. Coll gave a lecture titled "Osama Bin Laden and the Globalization of Terror".

With over 20 years of experience working as a foreign correspondent for The Washington Post, and the author of several books such as the Pulitzer Prize winning Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan and Bin Laden, from the Soviet Invasion to September 10, 2001 and his most recent The Bin Ladens: An Arabian Family in the American Century, Mr. Coll shared with us his professional expertise and knowledge on Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda. He concluded the lecture by fielding questions and assessed the successes, failures, and possible future of the Al Qaeda movement.
