7/29/1978: Joseph Paul Franklin shot William Bryant Tatum, an African American, and his White girlfriend Nancy Hilton in the parking lot of a Pizza Hut in Chattanooga, Tennessee in the United States. Tatum died from his injuries while Hilton survived.
