Incident Summary:

02/26/1998: At least 30 Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) fighters and seven Sri Lankan soldiers were killed when fierce fighting broke out for the control of strategic Mankulam in the Vanni war zone. Thirty military personnel were said to have been wounded in battle.
