Incident Summary:

10/6/1999: Lon Phon, a Cambodian parliamentarian, was abducted outside of his home in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Four gunmen in uniform forced Lon Phon into a car. He was released on October 9, 1999, when his family paid $140,000 for his release. Four people were arrested for the abduction and a warrant was issued for the arrest of an additional five people.
