1/28/2000: Petar Panic, a long-time security advisor for Vojislav Seselj (the chairman of the Serbian Radical Party), was shot several times and critically wounded near his home in Surcin, a suburb of Belgrade, Yugoslavia. The assailant, who fled after the attack, was identified as Ljubimir Jovanovic. Unofficial sources state that the attack took place in the home of Sinisa Mitrovic, following an argument.
