Incident Summary:

6/27/2000: Members of the Revolutionary United Front (RUF) looted and burned down Mamilla village in Sierra Leone. The rebels were experiencing famine due to the fact that their main food supplier, farmers and villagers, fled the area. It is unknown whether there were injuries or casualties from the attack. The rebels looted and burned down other villages in the area as well.
