06/08/2000: Two men on a motorcycle shot and killed a British military attache, Brigadier Stephen Saunders, in a Athens suburb was he while driving to work at the British Embassy in Athens. Police identified the 17 November Revolutionary Organization (17N) as responsible for the attack.
