Incident Summary:

8/27/2000: Suspected right-wing paramilitary fighters interrogated and killed at least nine residents of Cienaga, Colombia. Carrying a list of names, the assailants pulled the victims from their homes and from a dance hall before killing them. No group has claimed responsibility but authorities suspect that the attack was perpetrated by members of the United Self Defense Units of Colombia (AUC).
