Incident Summary:

11/17/2000: Three members of the pro-communist National Bolshevik Party (Partiya Natsionalnikh Bolshevikov – PNB), a Russian extremist group, surrendered to police after seizing the empty St. Peter's church in the Old Town section of Riga, Latvia, and threatening to blow it up with grenades. The perpetrators had demanded that police release their detained members, as well as a Latvian interior minister.
