Incident Summary:

3/16/2000: Two British men, Paul Winder and Tom Hart Dyke, were kidnapped while hiking in the Darien Gap area of Colombia. The two were released unharmed nine months later on December 10, 2000. The captives did not know the purpose of the abduction or who had kidnapped him, although the abductors did ask for a five million dollar ransom for each of them at one point.
