Incident Summary:

12/25/2000: A car bomb exploded outside of the Indian Army headquarters in Kashmir, India, killing eight people and wounding 23 others. Jamaat-ul Mujahideen claimed responsibility for the explosion in telephone calls to local newspapers. Within hours, however, a spokesman for the Jaysh-e Muhammad (Army of Muhammad) also claimed responsibility.
