1/5/2001: Unidentified gunmen shot and killed at least 12 people near Guatape, Antioquia state, Colombia. The assailants pulled the victims from the house and shot those they suspected of collaborating with rivals. Authorities suspect that the attack may have been perpetrated by members of United Self-Defense Groups (AUC).
