Additional Information The Iraq-based Mujahedeen-e-Khalq had been attempting to overthrow Iran's Islamic government. It frequently launched attacks deep inside Iran's borders. Two claims were made by the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq for this incident. One was faxed to the Associated Press office in Cairo after the attack. The other was made by Ali Safavi, the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq spokesman in Paris.
