07/23/2001: Members of a group named the Anarchist Squad attacked a guardhouse at the headquarters of the Athens government in Athens, Attica region, Greece, with five molotov cocktails, damaging the guardhouse. No one was injured in the attack. The group contacted a newspaper via telephone and claimed the attacks were a response to police violence against protesters at the Group of Eight (G-8) summit in Italy.
