Incident Summary:

10/30/2001: Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade placed a bomb in the home of navy Captain Natan Barak in Ra'anana, a suburb of Tel Aviv, Center District, Israel. Barak woke up during the night and found an explosive device and cellular phone attached to a fire extinguisher next to his bed. After removing the device from the home, experts control-detonated it. The assailants claimed responsibility for the attack later that day, stating that the bomb was a message to Barak and others "whose hands are soaked in Palestinian blood."
