Incident Summary:

1/5/2002: Two unidentified gunmen shot and killed Touch Sean, a Sam Rainsy party commune election candidate, in Doun Leb village, Svay Rieng province, Cambodia. No group claimed responsibility for the attack. Political officials stated that they believed that the attack was politically motivated. Commune elections were scheduled to start approximately a month after the incident.
