03/12/2002: A remote-controlled, roadside bomb detonated near the Jewish settlement of Netzarim in the Gaza Strip. The attack destroyed one Israeli Merkava-3 tank, killed three Israeli soldiers and wounded two others. Responsibility for the bombing was claimed by both Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
