Incident Summary:

05/07/2002: Fifteen people were killed and 58 wounded when a suicide bomber detonated a suitcase bomb in a gambling and billiards club in Rishon Le Zion, Israel. The militant Palestinian group, HAMAS, claimed responsibility for the incident, which caused Israel's Prime Minister to cut short a US visit. The Palestinian Authority condemned the attack, but Israeli officials blamed them for allowing the incident to happen.
