05/09/2002: A bomb exploded at the entrance of a street leading to the house of Yemeni Prime Minister Abdul Qader Bajammal in Sana’a, Yemen. The explosion did not result in any casualties. The Sympathizers of Al-Qaida Organization claimed responsibility for the bombing and threatened future attacks if the government of Yemen did not release 173 prisoners who had been imprisoned in an anti-terrorist crackdown.
