Incident Summary:

05/10/2002: A hand grenade exploded in front of J. Steiner’s house, a local Alderman, in Brunssum, Netherlands. No one was injured in the attack. However, Steiner's wife's car was destroyed in the explosion. Steiner was the Alderman who represented the Brunssum Christian Democrats in the municipal council and local authorities believed that the bombing may have been a politically motivated attack. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
