Incident Summary:

09/24/2002: At approximately 1:00pm local time, one Civil Guard officer was killed and one was seriously wounded when a bomb, planted by unknown perpetrators under a poster, exploded on the NA-1300 road between Leitze and Berastegi in the Basque region. Four Civil Guard officers, in two patrol cars, had been driving by as the blast occurred, but the target of the attack was unclear.
