Incident Summary:

10/27/2002: At least 15 members of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) attacked the village of Dadgiri, Assam state, India. The assailants went from house to house, asking the men to come outside, where they were lined up and shot. 20 villagers were killed immediately and two more died of their wounds shortly after the incident. At least 12 people were injured in the assault. Specific motive is unknown; however, authorities believe that the attack was an "ethnic cleansing".
