Incident Summary:

12/25/2002: Two Muslim militants threw a grenade into a Pakistani United Presbyterian church during a Christmas evening service, killing three girls and injuring as many as 15 others. The two men were wearing women’s burqas as a disguise. At least three people were arrested for taking part in the attack, including Muslim cleric Mohammad Afzal who preached in favor of killing Christians. The cleric was affiliated with the group Jaish-e-Mohammed, a banned group with ties to Al-Qaeda.
