01/29/2003: Hollman Vargas Estefan, the Mayor of Sacama, Colombia was kidnapped by members of the Colombian Revolutionary Armed Forces (FARC). In a message to the radio station Caracol, the FARC representative stated that he was kidnapped in order to pressure the government into accepting his resignation.
