01/30/2003: Colonel Sergey Savin, currently employed by a private security company but formally the deputy head of the Voronezh police department was shot and killed by an unknown assailant in what appears to be a contract hit. The victim was shot six times and was not robbed despite having a large sum of money at the time of the attack.
