Incident Summary:

1/27/2004: Suspected members of the Salafist Group for Preaching and Fighting (GSPC) set up a fake roadblock in Tiza, Algeria. The assailants intercepted two vehicles and proceeded to identify three members of the Algerian security forces dressed in civilian clothing. The Islamic extremists subsequently killed the two Algerian soldiers and one municipal guardsman before fleeing the scene.
