Incident Summary:

05/01/2004: Four assailants attacked Swiss engineering firm ABB Lummus Global in Yanbu' al Bahr, Saudi Arabia, killing six Western workers and a Saudi worker and injuring 25 others. A police chase ensued and suspects targeted Western businesses with weapons fire. Three of the four perpetrators were killed by Saudi security forces. The fourth assailant was sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia in May 2016. There were no claims of responsibility reported, but sources identify the assailants as al Qaida operatives.
