08/31/2004: A woman strapped with explosives blew herself up outside of the entrance to the Rizhshkaya subway station and the Krestovskiy shopping center, killing 10 people and wounding at least 50. The explosive device was equivalent to 2 kg of TNT. The Islambouli Brigade of Martyrs claimed responsibility for the attack.
