Incident Summary:

9/30/2004: At least two car bombs exploded during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at a water pumping station in Baghdad, Baghdad province, Iraq. A crowd of children had gathered to collect sweets from a military convoy and to watch the ceremony when the blast occurred. At least 41 people were killed; the majority were children. In addition, at least ten U.S. soldiers were wounded. The Tawhid and Jihad claimed responsibility for the incident.
