02/17/2005: Suspected Islamic militants set off a car bomb outside the Marina Hotel in Thailand’s southern border town of Sungai Kolok. The blast killed five people and injured 40 others who were at the hotel and surrounding restaurants and bars. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
