02/28/2005: A suicide bomber blew up his car in the middle of a town square in the Shi i town of Al-Hilla, killing 110 people and wounding at least 133 others. Most of the victims were former civil servants trying to reclaim their jobs lost when Saddam Hussein fell from power.
