03/24/2005: A suicide bomber detonated his vehicle at a checkpoint in Ramadi, Iraq, killing eleven Iraqi special police commandos and wounding at least fourteen other people, including nine police officers and three civilians. The Islamic Army in Iraq posted a statement on the internet claiming responsibility for this attack.
