05/23/2005: A suicide truck bomb targeting a Kurdish official exploded in the town of Tuz Khurmatu, Iraq, killing 5 people and wounding 18 others. The official, Mohammed Mahmud, was wounded in the explosion. The group Ansar al-Sunna claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement on the internet.
