Incident Summary:

02/23/2007: Two Italians working on new roads and bridges were abducted during a shootout, which took place some 40km from Port Harcourt in the Niger Delta, Nigeria. The two technicians, who were working for Italy's Impregilo construction firm, were doing tests on bridges when a 15-strong band of rebels aboard motorboats appeared and opened fire. No group claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.
