Incident Summary:

07/07/2007: The largest suicide bombing of the Iraq war to date was set off in the small village of Amerli in the Diyala Governorate of Iraq. Over 150 people were killed and 250 wounded in the truck bomb attack on the Turkomen village. Fifty homes were destroyed in the attack where many people were trapped beneath the rubble. No claim of responsibility was reported.
