Incident Summary:

07/27/2007: A suicide car bombing took place amid dozens of vehicles filled with people celebrating an Iraqi national soccer team victory in Baghdad, Iraq. The attack was near an Iraqi army checkpoint in the eastern district of Ghadeer, where an uneasy mix of Sunnis, Shi is and Christians live. At least 20 people died and almost 60 were wounded. No claim of responsibility was issued.
